Karen L. Milstein, M.D., is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, author, teacher, consultant and international speaker. She has been in private practice in New York since 1978. She has served as president of the Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology (APS) and the American Psychoanalytic Association
She also serves on the faculty of the Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at New York University Medical School.
